Manuel T. Fajardo, or Manny, as he’s known at Telecare, is refusing to offer me services, claiming I’m being disrespectful. But let’s ask the real question here: who is disrespecting whom?
Every time I try to have a conversation with Manny, it’s the same old routine. I can’t even say two words without him shutting me up. Funny thing is, I don’t have this problem with other staff. The nurses talk to me. Dr. Du talks to me. Somehow, this communication issue only exists between Manny and me—and it’s an issue Manny is creating for himself.
Here’s the thing: you can’t demand 100% respect, 100% control, 100% of the time. What makes you so special, Manny? You’re acting like the king of your little environment, but guess what? The peasants aren’t happy. You need to understand that respect is earned, and by consistently shutting me down when others actually listen, you’re being incredibly disrespectful. Put your "tough love" belt away!
I was abused as a child, and this kind of behavior triggers all of those old memories. I don’t appreciate it, and I won’t tolerate it.
While you continue to disrespect me by refusing services and communication, I’m dealing with my food being stolen, my clothes, my soap, and my deodorant disappearing—oh, and let’s not forget, you’re trying to make me homeless on top of it all! And then you have the nerve to offer me a higher rent for the same crappy conditions with a contract that says you can keep treating me this way. Seriously?
That’s not just disrespectful—that’s misrepresentation. The representative with the contract didn’t tell me any of this, and now you’re throwing it in my face. WHO is disrespecting whom, Manny?
And I can’t help but wonder: what God do you pray to? One that condones mistreating the people who need help the most?
Here’s the bottom line: you’re so disrespectful that, by most standards, you’re not even treating me as a human being anymore. PUT YOUR FUCKING TOUGH LOVE STICK AWAY AND START TREATING PEOPLE LIKE THE HUMANS WE ARE!!!
