I sneaked off the facility today, thinking I’d get away with a quick cigar. You know, just one. But the smell betrayed me the moment I stepped back inside, caught red-handed by the unmistakable stink.
People who don’t smoke don’t get it. They throw around the usual lines: "You’ll save more money, have more time, better health, live longer..." Yeah, we understand all of that, but addiction doesn’t! It’s a relentless whisper, always pushing for one more, just one more.
I’ve got to firm down my fort, strengthen my defenses. This isn’t just about willpower; it’s a daily battle. The truth is, addiction doesn’t listen to logic. But I do. So here’s to taking it one step at a time.
