Remember when Trump called him "Little Marco"? Said he was sweating buckets on stage like he just ran a marathon in a sauna. It was the 2016 Republican primaries, and Marco Rubio was supposed to be the fresh-faced golden boy—the great hope of the establishment GOP. He fought Trump tooth and nail. Called him unfit, unstable, and dangerous. It was a political bloodbath.
Fast-forward to today: guess who’s back, back again... on Trump’s cabinet? That’s right. Little Marco. The same guy who once tried to stand up to the bully now folds like a cheap lawn chair.
What happened?
Politics, that’s what. The kind of politics that turns grown men into obedient little puppets, doing the bidding of the same demagogue they swore to stand against. We’re watching the slow erosion of backbone in real time—one Republican at a time.
Rubio once talked tough. He warned us about Trump’s lies, his chaos, his narcissism. And now? Now he’s part of the chaos machine. Maybe he’s hoping no one remembers the debates. Maybe he thinks his political survival is more important than principle. Or maybe—just maybe—this is how the modern GOP works: scream about the fire, then take a seat on the pyre.
Perverted Politics.
That’s the only phrase that fits. The whole thing is twisted. The same party that screamed about character now bows before a man indicted more times than they’ve passed meaningful legislation. Integrity isn't just lost—it's for sale. And cheap.
Rubio isn’t the only one. He’s just the latest exhibit in the Republican Museum of Spinelessness. Every time they sell their soul for a spot at Trump’s table, they show us what their leadership really costs. Not courage. Not conviction. Just complicity.
So, when does it stop?
When does the Republican party grow a backbone again?
Or do they even want one? Because it’s easy to bark in the primaries—but it takes real guts to bite when it counts.
