Let’s get one thing straight—I don’t mind people saying horrible things about me, as long as there’s some truth to it. In fact, here’s a couple of quick tips for navigating this chaotic world:
-
The World is Shit (But People Still Want Good News): Yes, life is tough. We all struggle. But when you post, frame it in a way that lifts people up. Highlight the good things that have happened, no matter how small. People crave hope, even in the darkest times.
-
It’s Not Just About You: Don’t make it all about self-promotion. Talk about the artists you respect, the ones who inspire you. If it’s just me talking about me, people will tune out. But when you share the light of others, you’ll find your own shines even brighter.
Lately, I’ve been doing my best to focus on my own mental health, and I appreciate the kind words. But let’s be clear—when I talk about Mental Health Awareness, it’s not just about the “mentally healthy.” It’s about those who are often overlooked, the ones society would rather forget. The ones like Ernie and Kelly, who couldn’t navigate the system like I can. They’re who I stand for, and until we find real cures, society needs to accept us as we are.
This is Round Two of the protest, and it's more than just art—it's a statement against a system that killed Kelly Thomas and continues to discard people like him. You wouldn’t believe what’s still happening—mentally ill people being tossed aside, left to die without care or support. It’s unjust, and it’s not something we can ignore.
This fight isn’t over, with or without you. I will make this statement loud and clear: Justice for Kelly Thomas, Round Two.
Are you in?
