Most people on social media tell me I should let go of my toxic family and focus on my success as an artist. While creative success isn’t easy, I’ve set some clear plans for the coming year that should help me move forward. If I commit to moving into a shelter for around three months, I’ll be able to save enough money to attend both WonderCon and Comic-Con San Diego and sell my graphic noveles in a Small Press booth. These conventions are huge opportunities for any artist—not only to break even financially but to network and connect with other creators and potential fans.
2025 will also give me the time and focus I need to illustrate my books for the Unlikely Prophet series. This project has been a major part of my artistic journey, and with the right environment and a steady pace, I can make significant progress.
I also plan to enlist the help of my successful realtor friend, Jacki O. Her expertise in the community can assist me with transportation and representation. Ideally, with her support, I can position myself as a notable artist in the Fullerton community, opening doors for high-end exhibitions and expanding my reach as a collector's favorite.
Another major goal for 2025 is quitting smoking. It’s a habit I’ve struggled with, but the financial and health benefits will be immense. With the money I save, I’ll have more resources to invest in my art business and these conventions.
All in all, 2025 is shaping up to be one of my best years yet, financially and creatively. With the right mindset and support, I’m determined to make it a standout year for my artistic career.
Let’s make it happen!
