I’m still actively applying for various positions that make up what I call my Disney Dream Jobs. I never realized just how many opportunities there are within a single company—dozens of positions, departments, and creative roles, all waiting for the right fit. The magic of Disney isn’t just on screen; it’s in the limitless doors they open for storytellers and artists like me.
My journey here has been anything but conventional. I sold my first painting in a bar. I’ve drawn portraits on the streets of Los Angeles while homeless. I became a local figure in the Fullerton Art Walk, building a name through persistence, creativity, and community connection. My resume isn’t glossy—it’s gritty, real, and powered by resilience.
There have been setbacks: hospitalizations, institutions, psych wards, incarceration and even the recent cancer scare. Yet through it all, I never stopped drawing. I never stopped creating. My pen and pencil have always been with me—my lifelines. Every picture I drew was a step out of the darkness and a stroke of light toward something better.
You’d think I would have applied to Disney long ago, but I believe in perfect timing. Every twist in my path led me to today, and I wouldn't trade it for a shortcut. Today is the right moment. Not yesterday. Not before I was ready.
Now it’s time to grab the leather, pull myself up by the bootstraps, and leap into the next chapter. Because magic isn’t a fantasy—it’s a decision to believe in yourself, even when the world doesn’t.
